You Say You Want A Resolution... Weellll You Knowwww, We Can't All Change In a Year

I don't typically have New Year's Resolutions because I, like everyone else, don't keep'em. Never have but this coming year? Ya, it's time. As I sit here posting to my blog, listening to cats fighting in the background, I realize.. it's time to make more changes and stick to them. This coming year I plan to approach everyday with intent. Make the day count. I know that is pretty broad but what it will accomplish is overcoming the many challenges I create for myself. 2014 is going to be better than 2013 and this year has been pretty good. :) What is your New Year's Resolution/s? ~M

Yuletide Cheer

This time of year year has not always been my favorite. The bitterness, greed, drunken holiday parties, gifts given with malice, and your regular inconsideration. Plus, I was studying with a religious organization that shared with me that this and other holidays were not Christian based and therefore were not something to be celebrated. Okay, cool. Don't like them anyway and think of all the money I would be saving! So I opted out. I would say it was about five years ago when I was reintroduced to Christmas. The tree, presents, lights, family dinners, and everything wonderful about the season. Of course my celebration has evolved over the years. Instead of Christmas I celebrate more closely to the pagan traditions. Yes, I took the Christ out of Christmas and added an X. Fitting since my X was the one that surprised me with my first tree in over 15 years. But that is a story for another time. :) Anyway, now I  look forward to this time of year. I make sure that it remains stress f

What Makes You Think I'm Pinterested?

Yes, Oh god, Yes! I'm pinterested! Like my blog, my boards are a work in progress. My  dream boards  tell a lot about me and what catches my eye. Now, after you follow my boards, check out this  amazing pinner!  We love our images. Some people pin recipes, DIY, or their own photos and links to websites. Me? I get addicted and tend to waste a bit of time pinning everything I can think of, including fun drinks. If you pin you know exactly what I'm talking about! Holy Moly! Go ahead, click those links above, I dare you. ;-) Really, we could use the followers.

My Blue Apron

The past few months I have been on the hunt for a service that is healthy and convenient. I didn't want anything precooked. I love to cook. I can follow a recipe like no one's business. Am I creative in the kitchen? Well... sometimes. Since I cook for myself I don't get too crazy. I have a busy schedule and really don't like going from store to store. This place has organic meats. That place has farmer's market prices. And the options go on. As far as worrying about buying organic, that is a story for later. I basically don't. My biggest concern is processed foods. High sodium, High Fat. I love eating real food but it can go to waste easy. Like I said, it's just me. I don't own a microwave for the simple fact that it makes me think about what I'm going to buy to prepare at home. What I can heat up later. Do I do the typical food delivery service or take advantage of the one the local grocery store provides? So one day on my Facebook feed... yes, th

Delays, Delays, Delays

Hello again. No one will be able to see this or my first post until Google and Go Daddy can effectively communicate. One of those draw backs not having enough techie knowledge to host this thing myself. I'm patient. It gives me the time I need to get a little organized and put my thoughts down. Yes, I have to admit I am experiencing a bit of stage fright. Ranting on Facebook or networking on LinkedIn comes just a little bit easier for me. This? We shall see. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday!

The Beginning of the End

Or not. :) This is my very first blog post so I'm sure I'm going to make the same mistakes everyone else does in their initial journey into blogville. Why blog? I'm not that person. What do I have to say to the masses? Should I map a goal and the progress I'm making? Post pictures of food and recipes for the latest diet trend? Or document my time in Italy? No I haven't been to Italy but I'm sure I could spend a few moments explaining my need for yet another pendulum or tarot deck. Ah... there is the hook for my blog title "A Wicked Life". So there it is folks, my theme. This blog will be much more than the run of the mill "what to do during a full moon" type blog. I will at times vent, share a life experience (had some very wicked moments....), a photo that captures my mood, or who knows... a poem or two? Stay tuned. I may even share a short story.
